Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technician

- Full Time
- PCA assembly including purchasing components, soldering, repair and rework.
- Prototype wiring subassemblies, terminal wiring, wire crimping, cable harnessing.
- Electromechanical Assembly from CAD drawing using of hand tools, manual machining, and precision tools for building chassis. Includes mounting PCAs, power supplies, cabling, etc.
- Manage the electrical engineering lab, maintain tools and test equipment including calibration, component stock etc.
- Assist the engineering group with experiments to improve product performance and reliability.
- Requires an associate’s degree in a discipline related to the position of electro-mechanical technician.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with GMP environment; familiarity reading, checking, updating Bills Of Materials, schematics, machine drawings.
- Capable of documenting assembly processes.
- Working knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
- Familiar with IPC A 610 and similar standards.
- Ability to work under minimum supervision with a high degree of organizational and technical competence.
- Ability to function well under pressure and expend effort to meet schedules and deadlines.
- Experience with large medical systems a plus (ex. surgical robotics, x-ray imaging, etc).
