Position Overview

We are seeking an Electro-Mechanical Technician to join our production team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong mix of mechanical and electrical aptitude who enjoys working hands-on and contributing to complex, real-world systems.

This position plays a critical role in assembling, testing, and supporting advanced systems used in cutting-edge scientific and engineering applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble, operate, test, maintain, and calibrate electro-mechanical systems
  • Perform system and sub-system testing and validation
  • Read and interpret schematics, diagrams, and technical drawings
  • Inspect components and assemblies to ensure quality and specifications are met
  • Install electronic components using hand tools and soldering equipment
  • Operate and maintain specialized equipment and instruments
  • Analyze and document test results
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to meet project milestones
  • Provide feedback to support continuous improvement of systems and processes

Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree (or higher) in Electrical, Mechanical, or related technical field
  • OR
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in a similar role

Desired Skills

  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
  • Ability to read and understand schematics and technical drawings
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Experience using hand tools and soldering equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and organization
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Nice to Have (Not Required)

  • Optical assembly experience
  • Motion control systems experience
  • Exposure to chemistry or lab environments

Pay: $55,000.00 - $68,000.00 per year
