Electrochemist for development of sustainable energy solutions

Responsibilities
- Lead the formulation and refinement of new electrolyte systems designed specifically for supercapacitor pouch cells
- Enhance process performance, chemical stability, and environmental footprint of supercapacitors.
- Evaluate systems across various stages—from lab testing of components to prototype units, to ensure they scale effectively.
- Perform detailed chemical and physical analysis of components before and after operation.
- Work in close coordination with internal teams and external stakeholders to accelerate innovation cycles.
- Tackle both scientific and operational challenges with a creative, solutions-oriented approach.
- Manage multiple research and development tracks focused on electrolyte and electrode performance and integration.
- Document findings clearly and present progress in a compelling and structured manner.
- Serve as a technical point of contact in external partnerships, helping ensure delivery of key project goals.
- Maintain alignment with best practices in safety, regulatory compliance, and sustainability.
- Ensure accurate and organized technical documentation.

Qualifications
- Candidate with an MSc in electrochemistry or a closely related field with expertise in at least two of the following areas: liquid electrolyte chemistry, electrode and ink development. Knowledge in rubber systems is an advantage.
- Candidates with strong practical experience in these or similar areas will be preferred.
- Laboratory experience is essential, including glove box operation and chemical handling.
- Background in organic chemistry is an asset.
- Experience handling gases such as nitrogen and hydrogen in a lab setting.
- Strong skills in interpreting and applying scientific literature.
- Excellent English communication skills (spoken and written). Other languages, such as Danish, are a bonus but not required.
- Confident in working with international technical partners, suppliers, and research peers.
