Are you a passionate Electrical/Electronic Engineer who can support the manufacturing and design of complex, electromechanical medical devices? The successful applicant will be a key member of the Engineering Team with responsibility for providing technical support to the Commercial Product Engineering (CPE) function and Manufacturing Operations for electrical/electronic assemblies, PCBAs and associated subsystems. This includes leading root cause analysis to implement corrective and preventive actions for production or design issues. This role also involves driving changes to enhance our products, improve reliability and monitor component obsolescence management and implementation.
As a key member of the team, you will be part of a highly innovative, multidisciplinary Engineering group working on complex problems to serve the needs of laboratories of any size – today and tomorrow.
- Drive engineering changes within a regulated framework including the associated V&V, process and implementation activities required.
- Own part and component obsolescence changes.
- Drive cross-functional root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), coordinating with quality, suppliers, and manufacturing teams.
- Own delivery of technical solutions that enhance product reliability.
- Provide technical support to manufacturing operations for electrical/electronic assemblies, PCBs, and embedded systems.
- Perform component-level failure analysis of PCBAs to support production and field returns to determine root cause.
- Support of design changes related to electronic manufacturing test systems, including ICT, flying probe, test equipment and automated test systems.
It would be advantageous to have the following experience:
Requirements to succeed in this role:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience. Consideration will also be given to individuals with alternative degrees if balanced by relevant technical experience.
- Experience in electrical/electronic engineering, preferably in a regulated environment
- Proven track record in problem-solving and root cause analysis in production settings
- Track record in supplier collaboration and component lifecycle management
- Excellent communication, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- An excellent team player who knows how to work in a team environment.
