Overview
We are seeking a skilled Electronic Vehicle Upfitter to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for modifying and enhancing vehicles to meet customer specifications, focusing on electronic systems and overall vehicle performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, with a particular emphasis on electrical systems and diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure Two-Way Radio electronic components and systems in vehicles, ensuring compliance with manufacturer specifications.
• Design and install emergency vehicle lights on a variety of customer vehicles
• Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting on automotive electrical systems to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
• Collaborate with customers to understand their needs and provide exceptional customer service throughout the upfitting process.
• Utilize schematics to accurately install wiring harnesses, sensors, and other electronic components.
• Conduct vehicle maintenance and repairs, including diesel engine repair, powertrain work, alignment, and general automotive service.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols at all times.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various upfitting tasks.
• Document all work performed on vehicles for quality assurance purposes.

Skills

• Previous dealership experience is preferred, particularly with GM vehicles.
• Strong knowledge of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) is a plus.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics related to automotive electrical systems.
• Solid mechanical knowledge with experience in automotive diagnostics and repair.
• Familiarity with welding techniques is an advantage.
• Excellent customer service skills to ensure positive interactions with clients.
• Experience in auto body repair is beneficial but not mandatory.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $27.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
