Electronics Repair Technician – Micro-Soldering

Radio King is one of Ireland's leading specialists in automotive electronics and Android car multimedia systems.

Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Electronics Repair Technician / Micro-Soldering Technician to join our team in Dublin 15.

This is a hands-on technical position focused on repairing and modifying automotive electronic equipment and circuit boards.

What You'll Be Doing

• Repairing automotive electronic modules and car radio/head-unit circuit boards
• Micro-soldering and replacing SMD components
• Replacing ICs, capacitors, resistors, connectors and other electronic components
• Working with EEPROM and memory chips
• PCB repair, modification and component-level troubleshooting
• Using a soldering station, hot-air rework station and microscope
• Diagnosing faults on electronic boards
• Testing repaired equipment and identifying further faults
• Carrying out modifications and upgrades to automotive electronics
• Maintaining a high standard of accuracy and workmanship

Who We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who is confident and experienced with a soldering iron and genuinely enjoys working with electronics.

• Experienced hobbyist with professional-level micro-soldering skills

Requirements

• Previous micro-soldering experience is essential
• Confident working with small SMD components
• Experience using a soldering station and hot-air rework station
• Comfortable working under a microscope
• Good understanding of electronic components and circuit boards
• Ability to diagnose and repair electronic faults
• Excellent attention to detail
• Patient and precise approach to technical work
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Genuine interest in electronics and automotive technology

Experience With Any of the Following Is a Plus

• Mobile phone or tablet repairs
• Automotive head-unit repairs
• EEPROM programming / reading
• IC replacement
• PCB modification
• CANBUS-related electronics
• Android car radios
• Automotive diagnostic equipment
• SMD component replacement

Language

English is desirable but not essential.
Basic English is acceptable if you have strong technical skills.

Russian or Ukrainian is an advantage.

Salary

From €32,000 per year, depending on experience and technical ability.

Experienced micro-soldering technicians may be considered for a higher salary.
