We are approaching key milestones in product development and commercialisation. As we scale, we are seeking a dynamic and hands-on Electronics / Test Technician (Contract Role) to support our expanding manufacturing function. This role is pivotal in ensuring quality, compliance, efficiency, and scalability as the company transitions from development to commercial stage.

- This role will not be a hybrid role and will require the person to work on-site either in Luminates' facility or in the contract manufacturing location.

What You Will Do:
- Test and Evaluate Products – Conduct comprehensive testing of electronic medical devices, including components, sub-assemblies, and finished products that integrate with firmware and mechanical elements.
- Troubleshoot and Repair – Perform fault finding, debugging, and troubleshooting on test failures. Accurately diagnose issues and repair devices to meet strict performance and compliance standards. Support investigation of quality issues, including NCRs, CAPAs, and root cause analysis.
- Develop and Maintain Test Systems – Implement and maintain robust test systems, equipment, and fixtures. Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and calibrated to guarantee accurate and reliable results.
- Data Analysis and Reporting – Capture and analyse test data to identify trends and areas for improvement. Compile detailed reports on test outcomes and device performance.
- Process Improvement – Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to identify and implement process and product improvements.
- Technical Support – Provide technical support to manufacturing product builders and engineering teams as needed.
- Documentation and Training – Create and update technical documentation, including test procedures and work instructions. Provide training to other team members on testing protocols and equipment. Maintain accurate inspection records in compliance with ISO 13485 and FDA QSR.

Experience Requirements – The Ideal Candidate Must Have:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in electronics test support, specifically with complex electronic devices.
- Technical Skills – Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair electronic circuits and systems. Experience with firmware and mechanical components is a plus.
- Certification – IPC-A-610 trained or certified, demonstrating expertise in the acceptability of electronic assemblies.
- Analytical Skills – Interpret results, identify root causes of failures and propose effective solutions.
- Attention to Detail – Meticulous attention to detail to ensure compliance with strict quality and regulatory standards.
- Knowledge of metrology tools and electronic equipment, e.g., callipers, micrometers, vision systems, pressure gauges, multimeters, power supplies, programming microprocessors, and serial communications.
- Familiarity with ISO 13485, GMP, and cleanroom practices.
- Previous experience reviewing and approving manufacturing documentation.
Experience Advantages – It Would Be ‘Nice to Have’ \ Advantageous to Have:
- Qualification: Internal Auditor Certification
- Previous experience working in a startup or SME environment.
- Been responsible for line support
