The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly experienced Employee Relations Manager to join our growing People & Culture team.
Acting as a subject matter expert on employee and industrial relations, you will support, engage and lead the business to comply with all aspects of employment law, enterprise agreements and company policy, whilst fostering a harmonious workplace environment.
Reporting to the Executive General Manager of People & Culture who is also based in Adelaide, you will collaborate closely with various departments nationally to implement policies and procedures that align with both legal requirements and the company’s values. You will also be responsible for enterprise agreements, workplace relations policy, union stakeholder management, subcontractor IR management and represent the organisation through workplace and employment dispute processes.
Skills and Experiences:
About You
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
Qualifications in Human Resources and or Industrial Relations Management, or a related field
Extensive experience in a similar role and industry, involving a blue-collar workforce
Comprehensive knowledge of industrial relations principles, employment law, and enterprise agreements
Experience in collective bargaining negotiations and working with external workplace authorities
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional teams
Proficiency in gathering and analysing information to facilitate a thoughtful and strategic decision-making process, especially in complex situations
