DESCRIPTION

Join Amazon's Employee Experience Relations (EXR) team in Europe and shape how 16 countries build capability in one of the most complex labor relations environments in the world. As the EU Employees Relations Learning and Development Principal, you will own and drive the end-to-end Employees and Labor Relations learning strategy for Europe — designing strategy, programs that equip leaders across Operations, People Experience & Technology (HR) and key stakeholder teams to navigate employee and labor relations, regulatory compliance, and employee engagement with confidence and expertise.

This role can be performed from the following countries: UK/IE, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Poland.

There will be travel required up to 10% of the time, mostly within the EU.

Key job responsibilities
  • Design and execute the overarching European Employees and Labor Relations learning strategy for Europe, setting vision and long-term direction
  • Analyze business and learner population needs using scalable mechanisms and best practices
  • Consult senior leaders on immediate and strategic learning needs, aligned with resource allocation
  • Champion and evolve high-visibility employees’ engagement and leadership development programs aligned to Amazon's Leadership Principles
  • Measure learning solution effectiveness and ROI, challenging the status quo
  • Develop post-program resources to ensure content knowledge retention
  • Partner with PxT, GOLD, L&D, Legal, Operations, and Corporate teams for a cohesive learning journey
  • Manage external vendor relationships, ensuring quality and compliance with internal processes
  • Facilitate training, team interventions, and learning opportunities
  • Maintain executive oversight of training budget and third-party resource allocation

About the team
The European Employee Experience Relations team is a high-performing, pan-European function supporting all Amazon Operations business lines to manage employees and labor relations across the region. Acting as a Center of Expertise, we are committed to building capability, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering positive employee relations and constructive labor relations at scale. Our team operates at the intersection of strategy and execution — partnering closely with Operations, Legal, Public Relations, and Global EXR to advise on critical initiatives and deliver solutions that matter for our employees and customers.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience in Employee/Labor Relations
  • Experience designing and delivering learning programs at a regional or global scale
  • Experience managing executive stakeholders (Director level and above)
  • Experience working across multiple countries or geographies in a complex, matrixed organization
  • Fluency in both written and spoken in English (Common European Framework of Reference C2)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience analyzing data and measuring learning effectiveness and return on investment
  • Fluency in an additional European language (Common European Framework of Reference C2)
  • Demonstrated ability to influence without authority across senior, cross-functional stakeholders
  • Proficiency in learning science principles and instructional design methodologies
  • Experience managing external vendor relationships and training budgets
  • Experience facilitating leadership development programs for senior audiences
