Description:
Mai-Wel is seeking a passionate Employment Coach to join our Employment Services team, supporting participants through the Inclusive Employment Australia (IEA) program.

This is a front-facing, community-based role where you will deliver personalised, strengths-based employment support to help participants overcome barriers, secure sustainable employment outcomes, and receive ongoing support once placed into work.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide case management to participants within the IEA program
  • Conduct initial interviews and record outcomes in Workforce Australia
  • Develop and maintain tailored Job Plans aligned to participant goals
  • Support participants with job searches, placements, training, and capacity building
  • Provide on-the-job and post-placement support to participants to promote job retention and long-term employment success
  • Use customised employment approaches including job carving and job development
  • Identify and address vocational and non-vocational barriers to employment
  • Liaise with employers, training providers, and support services
  • Monitor participation, attendance, and compliance requirements
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in line with funder guidelines
Skills and Experiences:
About you

You are someone who genuinely cares about community outcomes and enjoys working with people from diverse backgrounds.

Essential:
Experience in administration and customer-focused roles

Understanding of person-centred and strengths-based approaches

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Excellent time management and organisational skills

Current First Aid (HLTAID009, HLTAID010, HLTAID011) or willingness to obtain

Strong digital identity verification (MyID)

Ability to travel between sites as required

Desirable:
Experience in employment services, community services, disability, or youth support

Knowledge of Workforce Australia / IEA programs

Trauma-informed practice experience

Certificate III or IV in Community Services, Employment Services, Disability, Youth, Business, HR or similar

Cultural awareness and experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities
