The Employment Consultant is responsible for establishing and maintaining effective community employment contacts and sites for the persons with disabilities as well as providing job coaching for participants who have obtained community employment.
1.Provide for quality programs and services, ethical treatment of individuals, and protection of their rights and dignity as persons.
2. Develop and maintain working relationships with participants, family members, employers, and Vocational Rehabilitation staff as well as with other community service providers, as appropriate.
3. Participate in the screening and assessment of C.A.R.S. Waiver / SGL clients for possible referral to Employment Services.
- Participate in the development of the client’s Discovery Profile to include individualized goals and objectives
5. Job-develop and develop job placement based on participants’ preferences as stated in the Discovery Profile
- Promote and provide individuals with opportunities for community integration, independence, normalization, and least restrictive placement, through individualized program development and implementation.
7. Provide tax credit information to new employers, complete paperwork necessary for employer to receive tax credit.
8. Inform Employment Service participants of effect of wages on Social Security benefits. Assist participants in accessing Social Security Work Incentives.
9. Provide individualized support services that may include but is not limited to… job coaching, advocacy and skill training.
- Be available to clients whose job may vary from standard daytime and weekday work schedules – Be flexible in terms of days and hours worked.
11. Assist employed participant(s) to arrange own transportation or provide participants with necessary transportation to and/or from appropriate services until their own transportation is arranged.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.59 per hour
