Energy Efficiency Manager, Energy Efficiency & Optimization Team
- Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) in Engineering (Power/Industrial/Data/Energy/Mech/Elec), Business Administration, Business Analytics or related field - 5+ years implementing energy efficiency programs, preferably in data centers, with demonstrable optimization, cost or consumption reductions - Track record of developing energy management tools and frameworks, including KPIs, dashboards, standardized processes, and leadership narratives - Experience analyzing technical, commercial and regulatory aspects of energy systems, including EnMS, infrastructure, decarbonization, or sustainability initiatives

The AWS Energy Efficiency & Optimization Team is seeking talented individuals to facilitate high-impact, energy efficiency initiatives across AWS’s global footprint. The ideal candidate will own projects and programs ranging from technical analyses and data collection to regulatory and business driven requirements for best practices in energy efficiency. This position will work collaboratively with internal and external partners to progress initiatives that re-shape our business’s energy solutions. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical, organizational and leadership skillsets with proven experience producing high-quality analyses and narratives. This position requires direct contact with senior data center and energy infrastructure leaders, cross functional program managers, and business partners in operations, engineering, legal and more. A successful candidate will have knowledge of the energy sector, energy efficiency best practices, experience in delivering technical analysis and solutions, and a general passion for sustainability and decarbonization. Strong communication skills is a basic requirement. Key job responsibilities - Own energy efficiency and its narrative for AWS infrastructure, and set energy efficiency strategic direction and goals - Own alignment with global workstreams across overlapping functions including: operations, engineering, sustainability, public policy, legal, and regulatory/ISO - Manage and coordinate (or participate) in programs/projects/tasks for the continuous development, implementation and maintenance of energy efficiency requirements and best practices for the organization - Define and deliver enduring programs, projects, tools, documentation, and processes for energy efficiency & optimization of AWS DC infrastructure About the team About AWS Diverse Experiences Amazon values diverse experiences.   • Master's degree in Business, Engineering, Energy Management, Analytics or Sustainability
  • Data center infrastructure experience and energy management certifications (e.g., ISO, auditing)
  • Commercial and technical experience, including NPV analysis, CAPEX/OPEX budget management, and 3rd party vendor management
  • Proven ability to streamline processes, identify cost savings, and manage complex cross-org projects in fast-paced environments
