We are looking for an
Engineering Change Coordinator
to coordinate and control engineering changes to key components, ensuring timely and accurate implementation from the engineering bill of material (BOM) to the production floor. In this role, you will work closely with the Equipment Engineering team and Product Line Management, and collaborate with Sourcing, suppliers, Production, Quality and Service functions globally. You will report to the Director, Global Engineering and Prototype Production. The role is based in Iisalmi, Finland, but does not require full-time presence at the manufacturing site. At the start, we expect the role to involve working from Iisalmi on average 2–3 days per week.
Main responsibilities and tasks:
- Coordinate and drive item changes from engineering bill of material (BOM) to the production floor.
- Assess and manage change implementation considering machines under build, items in storage, and impact on service/spare parts.
- Plan and align change timing with new item lead times, supplier availability and production schedule.
- Work in close co-operation with the Sourcing function to proactively identify components becoming obsolete and trigger needed change actions early enough.
- Own and continuously improve engineering change / change management process, including ways of working, documentation and implementation governance.
- Work in close co-operation with global teams to align engineering changes, timing and implementation across sites. Maintain clear change communication and status tracking with Engineering, Production, Supply Chain and Service.

To shine in t his position, we hope you have:
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain or equivalent.
- 3–5 years of experience in engineering changes in a manufacturing environment (BOM, change notices, implementation timing).
- Understanding of production build phases, inventory/material availability and supplier lead times.
- Experience working cross-functionally with Engineering, Production, Supply Chain/Sourcing and Service/Aftermarket.
- Experience in ERP/PLM systems and BOM structures is an advantage.
- Strong coordination skills: able to drive implementation decisions and follow-up to closure.
- Analytical mindset to evaluate change impacts (machines under build, stock, service spares).
- Good communication and stakeholder management; confident working with multiple functions and suppliers.
- Structured way of working, documentation discipline and attention to detail.
- Proactive approach to identifying risks such as component obsolescence and initiating mitigation actions.
- Positive drive to constantly develop engineering change processes with key stakeholders.
- Fluent written and spoken English and Finnish.
