Engineering Intern Summer 2026

Are you ready to gain real-world experience and build the foundation of your civil engineering career? Elevation Land Solutions is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Civil Engineering Intern to join our Land Development team. You’ll work alongside experienced professionals on a variety of residential, commercial, and industrial projects—contributing to meaningful designs that shape our communities.

As a Civil Engineering Intern at Elevation, you’ll be exposed to the full lifecycle of land development projects. Under the guidance of our engineering and production teams, you’ll assist in technical design tasks and support project execution from concept through construction.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the design team with technical tasks such as:
  • Site layout, utility design, and roadway alignment
  • Grading plans, stormwater management, and drainage systems
  • Water and sanitary sewer infrastructure
  • Floodplain and hydrology studies
• Assist in producing final construction drawings and plan sets
• Help prepare project specifications and documentation for submittals
• Provide support during permitting and construction phases
• Collaborate with team members on multi-disciplinary projects
• Submit accurate and timely timesheets
• Maintain positive, professional relationships across departments

• Actively pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university
• Must be in good academic standing and in Junior or Senior year preferred

Preferred Skills & Knowledge

• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• Strong sense of initiative and accountability
• Ability to work with urgency to meet deadlines
• Flexible and willing to support additional hours when project demands arise
• Fluent in English

• Must possess a valid driver’s license
• Willingness to travel locally for site visits or errands (as needed)
