About the Role:
CrowdStrike is seeking a Student worker for the NG-SIEM (next generation security information and event management) Engine team in Aarhus, Denmark.

NG-SIEM is built upon Logscale, which is a highly distributed streaming database, which enables fast querying on unstructured data.
The Engine team is responsible for building the data and query layer which enables lightning fast queries in the Logscale product. We own the data pipeline from receiving an event in Kafka all the way to storing it in our segment format, locally or in bucketstorage. Furthermore we are responsible for coordinating queries across a highly distributed cluster setup which enables lightning fast threat hunting and detections for internal and external customers. Our goals are to scale to 100s of PB of data ingress per day and the underlying structure needs to be scalable to achieve these numbers. We utilise Kafka to achieve eventual consistency of events arriving in Logscale and the Engine code base is written in Scala. Furthermore we integrate with different bucket providers (Google Cloud Storage, Amazon S3, MinIO) to achieve long term bucket storage. The emphasis of this team is on scalable and reliable software architecture, such that we can continue scaling towards PB’s of data every day.
You will be playing a role in ensuring that LogScale can continue with its successful durability and high availability. This role is open to candidates located in Aarhus, Denmark.
