Environmental, Health and Safety Manager (EHS)
Country Clean Recycling, a company in the waste management sector is seeking an Environmental, Health and Safety Manager based in Cork City
Responsibilities
Manage one EPA licensed site and one permit site from and EHS point of view
Liaise with relevant bodies such as EPA, Local authorities, NWCPO, HSA
Promote a culture of EHS excellence throughout the business
Ensure company compliance with all environmental and health and Safety legislation across all aspect of the business.
Complete thorough accident investigations for all accidents and liaise with company staff and Insurance companies
Manage other EHS staff
Analyse and report environmental performance to management
Generate and maintain all environmental reports for external bodies
Conduct employee and supervisory environmental, health and safety training
Candidate requirements:
3 years+ experience in an Environmental management role and Health and Safety role preferably in the Waste management sector
Experience in dealing with the EPA and the management of an EPA licensed site
Experience is dealing with the NWCPO and waste collection permits
Experience in dealing with Local Authorities
Comprehensive knowledge of all EH&S regulatory requirements
Proven ability to deliver safety and environmental training programs.
Ability to work under pressure, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines.
The successful candidate will need to be highly motivated and be able to work on their own initiative and deliver solutions.
Hold relevant third level Certificate qualification in Environmental Science
Package:
Salary is commensurate with experience.
Terms: Fulltime, permanent
