Job description

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. High school education is preferred.

2. Should be able to follow oral and written instructions.

3. On the job training is provided.

SKILLS NEEDED:

1. Must have verbal ability to communicate with residents, personnel, visitors, supervisors, peers, and other health personnel.

2. Manual dexterity is needed to work with hands and arms when performing tasks as scouring sinks, furnishings, equipment, polishing mirrors, dusting furniture and mopping floors.

3. Must be able to withstand walking, standing, kneeling, crouching, carry, reaching, and handling objects approximately 75% of shift. Lifting of approximately 40 to 45 pounds will be required.

4. Hands are frequently in contact with water and cleansing solutions.

JOB SUMMARY:

The housekeeping aide performs simple repetitive tasks in maintaining an assigned area of the Health Center in a sanitary, orderly, and attractive condition.

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
