We are seeking expressions of interest from Registered Nurses who are interested in completing an approximately six-month programme to become a Registered Nurse Assistant to the Anaesthetist (RNAA).

This is an opportunity to earn as you learn. The programme will be fully funded by Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora Waitaha.

On successful completion of the programme you will work as a RNAA within Perioperative Services and be employed under the Anaesthetic Technician Clinical Leadership in collaboration with Perioperative Nursing Clinical Leadership.

To be eligible for the Bridging Programme you must fulfil the following criteria:

• You must be a NZ Registered Nurse with a current APC
• A minimum of 12 months of continuous clinical anaesthetic experience (in a capacity aligned to the role of the Anaesthetic Technician scope of practice within the last five years)
• Be able to complete the programme at a minimum of 0.8FTE with a view to 0.8 – 1.0 FTE at successful completion
• A strong interest in working within the anaesthetic technician scope and furthering your experience
• Open to learning and playing an active role in our team
