Lead the Systems That Drive Strategic Execution

We’re looking for an EPMO Systems Lead to take ownership of the tools, templates, and reporting that support our enterprise-wide program and project portfolio management. This role is a key enabler in connecting strategy to execution, ensuring our systems and reporting create insights to support clear decision-making, effective prioritisation, and efficient delivery.

You’ll play a central role in refining enterprise planning practices, managing portfolio data from enterprise toolsets (Jira, SAP BP, Microsoft suite), and building reporting for Governance Committees. This role is part of our Strategy & Enterprise Performance team, which operates cross-functionally across Chorus to support strategic delivery. It’s ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, thrives in evolving environments, and brings strong systems thinking, analytical capability, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Ō Wheako, ō Pūkenga | Your Experience

This role will suit someone with a strong PMO systems background and a passion for creating clarity and impact through tools and insights.

Key Requirements:

  • 3–5 years’ experience in e/PMO roles within large organisations
  • Comfortable working in multi-modal delivery environments (Agile, Hybrid)
  • Experience supporting project prioritisation frameworks for strategic alignment
  • Skilled in portfolio dashboard creation and governance reporting
  • Strong user of PPM systems such as Jira, MS Project, and data visualisation tools
  • Ability to extract insights from project systems to guide portfolio decisions
  • Experience working in or with large adaptive PMOs
  • Familiar with enterprise-level PMO tools and frameworks

We are seeking a highly analytical and articulate professional with exceptional written and verbal communication skills. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, proactive, and results-driven, with the ability to effectively manage competing priorities and navigate ambiguity. A collaborative approach and a strong focus on stakeholder engagement are essential, along with commercial and financial acumen, including experience in business casing or financial modelling. A commitment to continuous improvement and delivering high-quality outputs is crucial to success in this role.

Not sure that you meet all the requirements? If you still think you could be great for the role, we encourage you to apply!
