Part-Time | In Person

Haven’s Hope Ranch and Stables is seeking an experienced, dependable, and compassionate horse professional to join our growing equine team.

Our ranch serves riders of all ages and experience levels while also partnering with Haven for Healing, a nonprofit organization providing equine-assisted services focused on mental health and emotional wellness. We are looking for someone who enjoys both horses and people and wants to be part of a welcoming, mission-driven environment that is continuing to grow within the community.

We are currently looking for an instructor with strong English riding experience. Western riding experience is a plus. As our lesson program expands, we are ultimately looking for the right professional to help lead, grow, and support the long-term development of the riding program.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Teaching safe, engaging, and structured riding lessons
  • Working with beginner through intermediate riders
  • Incorporating horsemanship, groundwork, horse care, and confidence-building skills into lessons
  • Ensuring proper horse handling, grooming, and safety practices
  • Creating a welcoming, encouraging, and supportive learning environment
  • Communicating effectively with riders and families
  • Assisting with general equine program support as needed

Qualifications:

  • Previous riding instruction experience preferred
  • Strong horsemanship and horse handling skills required
  • English riding experience required
  • Western riding experience is a plus
  • Dependable, safety-minded, and professional
  • Positive attitude and strong communication skills
  • Comfortable teaching riders of different ages and experience levels
  • Ability to adapt teaching style to individual rider needs

Additional Requirement:
Due to the nature of this position and the safety responsibilities involved, applicants should already have substantial horse experience and be confident handling and working around horses independently. This is not an entry-level horse position.

Schedule:

  • Part-time position with opportunity for growth
  • Weekday evening availability required
  • One flexible daytime lesson day preferred
  • Additional opportunities may become available as the program expands

Compensation & Benefits:

  • $20.00–$35.00 per hour depending on experience and lesson type
