About the role - you will:

• Develop control software for precision and high-throughput automated equipment.
• Develop electrical design for automated machine with the assistance of draftsman in creating schematic drawings and BOM creation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design system architectures, and implement software solutions.
• Implement best practices for software development, including code reviews, testing, and documentation.
• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation and continuous improvement in automation software solutions.
• Perform continuous improvement and enhancement to the existing equipment software toward Smart Autonomous Manufacturing.

About you:

• Bachelor’s in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or other equivalent disciplines.
• Self-motivated and eagerness to learn more.
• A positive mindset with a can-do attitude to challenge the impossible.
• A good team player with the ability to work independently.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Interest in the practical application of electrical/electronic devices and programming

Your experience includes:

• C# and/or C++ OOP and multi-threading PC based software programming.
• Experience in electrical design for machine automation in Class100 cleanroom environment will be very much preferred though not compulsory.
• Knowledge and/or experience in Ethercat fieldbus, SolidWorks 3D and control automation will be an added advantage.

Our Woodlands site is one of the largest electronics manufacturing sites in Singapore, housing our recording media operations. Spread over three sites, it is easily accessible via bus or from the MRT Station, with many employees taking mass transportation to work.
