Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in heavy equipment operation and mechanical knowledge, with experience in steep slope logging. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient and safe operation of equipment on job sites, contributing to the successful completion of projects.

Duties

• Operate Tigercat 630E (60% of the time) and John Deere 909K tilter Hoe Chucker(40% Of the time)
• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
• Collaborate with team members to coordinate operations and ensure project timelines are met.
• Follow safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues as they arise, utilizing mechanical knowledge to resolve problems efficiently.
• Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and maintenance activities.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in steep slope logging
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform basic repairs and maintenance.
• Valid commercial driving license required.
• Familiarity with avenza maps.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining individual accountability.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35.00-$40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 50 – 70 per week

Experience:

• Steep slope skidding and hoe chucking: 5 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

• Driving Licence (required)
