The Town of Lynn Lake is currently accepting applications for the position of Equipment Operator III. This

is a full-time, unionized position reporting to the Public Works Foreman and ultimately the Chief Administrative Officer. This role plays a key part in maintaining and improving municipal infrastructure and supporting public works operations year-round.

Key Responsibilities:

Duties include, but are not limited to:

Safe and efficient operation of municipal equipment including, but not limited to, loaders, graders, backhoes, snow plows, and tandem trucks.

Assist with the construction, maintenance, and repair of roads, sidewalks, water and sewer systems, and other public infrastructure.

Perform manual labour tasks including shoveling, lifting, site clean-up, and general maintenance.

Perform equipment maintenance and safety checks as required.

Participate in seasonal operations including snow removal, street sweeping, and drainage work.

Assist with landfill, waste collection, and other environmental services as needed.

Participate in standby/on-call rotation and respond to emergency after-hours work when required.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Valid Manitoba Class 3 Driver’s Licence with Air Brake Endorsement (Class 1 preferred).

Demonstrated ability to safely operate heavy equipment in a municipal or construction setting.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Strong awareness of workplace safety procedures and hazard recognition.

Physically capable of performing labour-intensive duties in various weather conditions.

Familiarity with municipal operations is an asset.

Compensation:

Wage subject to terms and progression as per the current collective agreement.
