Estimator/Administrator

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Estimator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating project costs, preparing accurate estimates, and ensuring that all financial aspects of projects are thoroughly assessed. This role requires strong organisational skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various teams to deliver precise cost control measures.

Duties

  • Review project plans and specifications to determine the scope of work required.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labour, and equipment necessary for project completion.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of estimates, including revisions and updates.
  • Communicate effectively with customers regarding estimates and project costs.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Estimator or in a similar role within the construction or manufacturing industry is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of cost control principles and practices.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in estimation software.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present information clearly.
  • A degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field is advantageous but not essential.
