We are seeking a skilled EUC Desktop Support Technician to provide dedicated onsite IT support across customer-owned locations in Tananger Norway. This role requires a hands-on professional with strong troubleshooting abilities in hardware, software, and networking, as well as excellent communication and service skills to support end users, VIPs, and manufacturing-related IT environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain daily IT operations at customer locations to meet users’ IT needs.
- Provide hands & feet support for servers and networking components as directed.
- Support and maintain manufacturing IT equipment in accordance with SOPs.
- Perform IMAC (Install, Move, Add, Change) activities for IT assets.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware/software/network issues under general supervision.
- Offer tailored and proactive VIP support, including setup of AV equipment and peripherals.
- Manage and maintain non-PC IT equipment including printers, scanners, phones, etc.
- Provide mobile phone support (triage, configuration, asset management).
- Support conference room technologies, telepresence, and UC solutions.
- Coordinate vendor activity for hardware replacements or service delivery.
- Maintain accurate asset lists and assist with procurement and receiving of IT consumables.
- Participate in special events support (internal/external), including after-hours when needed (T&M basis).
- Escalate tickets appropriately and ensure SLA adherence.
- Follow all customer IT service processes and comply with HSE protocols, Code of Conduct, and core values.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 2–3 years of hands-on desktop or end-user computing (EUC) support experience.
- Fluent in English and Norwegian (C1 or above).
- Strong knowledge of Windows OS, hardware troubleshooting, networking basics, and mobile device support.
- Familiarity with enterprise IT environments, service desk processes, and IT asset management.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and under general supervision.
- Willingness to support additional duties during absences (backfill support).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting manufacturing environments or industrial systems.
- VIP and executive support experience.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, ITIL Foundation, or Microsoft Certified preferred.
Contract Details:
- Contract Type: Dedicated Full-Time (FTE)
- Working Days: Monday to Friday (Standard Business Hours)
- Backfill Policy: Yes – only when the primary FTE is on leave
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: 45,237.00kr - 47,618.00kr per month
