Overview
We are a growing photo booth company looking for a reliable and technically minded Event Setup & Logistics Technician to assist with equipment setups and teardowns for weddings and events throughout the Waterloo Region.
This role focuses on logistics and setup, not running the booth during the event. Our attendants manage the guest experience once the equipment is ready.
This position is well suited for someone with experience in events, photography, AV, or film production who enjoys hands-on work with equipment and flexible weekend scheduling.
Responsibilities
- Pick up photo booth equipment from our warehouse
- Transport equipment to event venues
- Set up booths using a step-by-step checklist (training provided)
- Return later in the evening to complete teardown
- Pack equipment and return it to the warehouse
- Occasionally complete multiple setups in a single day or over a busy weekend
Most events take place Friday through Sunday and often involve split shifts (setup earlier in the day and teardown later in the evening).
Requirements
- Able to lift and move equipment weighing 40–60 lbs
- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
- Comfortable with basic technical setups (camera, lighting, tablet, cables)
- Able to work independently and follow setup instructions
- Strong communication and time management skills
- Reliability and punctuality are essential. Events run on strict timelines and once scheduled we depend on you to follow through.
This role works best for candidates located within the Waterloo / Kitchener / Cambridge area due to warehouse pickup and return requirements.
Compensation
- $150 per event
- Some days may involve multiple setups and teardowns, allowing for more than one event in a day or over a busy weekend
- Late-night premium: $30/hour after midnight (capped at 2 hours)
Training is provided.
Schedule
- Weekend availability required
- Friday to Sunday events
- Daytime setups and evening or late-night teardowns
- Split shifts are common

When applying, please include:
