Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Excavator Operator to join our pipe crew team. In this vital role, you will operate heavy construction equipment, primarily excavators, to assist with underground pipe installation, excavation, and site preparation. Your expertise will help ensure efficient project progress, safety compliance, and high-quality workmanship. Responsibilities

• Operate excavators and other heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, dump trucks, and water trucks to perform excavation and site grading tasks.
• Assist with pipe installation by accurately digging trenches according to project specifications and safety standards.
• Coordinate with the pipe crew to ensure precise placement of pipes and related infrastructure components.
• Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance needs promptly.
• Follow all safety protocols on construction sites, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to OSHA guidelines.
• Maintain detailed records of equipment usage, site conditions, and work progress for project documentation.

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating excavators in a construction or utility setting.
• Mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, and water trucks.
• Strong understanding of construction site safety procedures and OSHA regulations.
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment on fast-paced projects.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.20 - $31.56 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
