CBM provides assurance, taxation and advisory services for clients in the Greater Toronto, Hamilton and Niagara Area. Our core team has been with the firm for a number of years and is instrumental in our successful transition to the next generation. Our Administration represents a key part of our ability to provide services to our clients and your role will be focused on the needs of the clients of a specific partner and the firm as whole.
Duties
In this role your duties will consist of constant communication with a partner while completing the following:
Production
- Composition, review, and finalization of documents, correspondence, and client deliverables.
- Preparation of information returns and responses to basic Canada Revenue Agency requests.
- Review and reporting on ongoing engagements to identify issues and bottlenecks.
- Preparation of briefings as described.
Correspondence
- Reception duties such as speaking to clients and responding to requests in a professional and prompt manner
- Monitoring of partner’s inbox and preparation of draft responses where possible.
- Scheduling of meetings, calls and events including preparation of any required materials.
- Sending reminders for upcoming and outstanding items.
- Contribute to a cohesive and high-performing administrative team environment by fostering open communication, mutual support, and shared accountability for achieving organizational goals.
Administrative
- Ensuring the data integrity of the firm’s contact and project databases.
- Generating invoices, time, and expense reports to support revenue and expense capture.
- Drafting and finalizing invoices as well as corresponding with client on accounts receivable
- Conducting research, compiling data, and preparing papers for consideration and presentation by or for partners.
- Filing, scanning, and retrieval of documents and records.
- Provide support to partners and other members of the firm as necessary.
- General office and other duties as assigned, but not limited to the above.
Qualifications
- Advanced skills with Microsoft Office and Adobe products. In particular, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Acrobat.
- Proficiency to quickly learn industry specific software.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively as member of a larger administrative team.
- Self-starter, adaptable, and able to jump in to help on various projects as necessary.
- Strong project management skills.
- Good analytical skills.
- Basic accounting knowledge.
- Confidence to work independently while exercising professional judgment.
- Minimum two-year Ontario college diploma or equivalent in related field.
Work arrangements
Please note this is a full-time fixed contract position.
Hours
- Full-time position during business hours, 37.5 hours per week.
- Flexibility for personal appointments as approved.
- Additional hours as required during busier seasons and as approved.

Pay: $55,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
