Introduction:
Holy Spirit Infants School, Abermain is seeking a Temporary Part Time (30hrs per week) Executive Assistant to Principal to join the team from Term 2 2026 until the end of Term 1, 2027.

POSITION DESCRIPTION
The purpose of the Executive Assistant to Principal – Primary is to build and foster positive and collaborative relationships with key internal and external stakeholders in order to provide support to the Principal of a primary school.
In this position, discretion, sound judgement, initiative and confidentiality are imperative at all times. The role supports the administrative, coordination, and organisational requirements of the Principal and contributes to the effective leadership and operation of the school.
This position may be based at a single school site or operate across multiple campuses. Where the role operates across campuses, the Executive Assistant is required to work flexibly across sites in order to support the Principal and the effective operation of the school. The Executive Assistant will also support the coordination of executive priorities, communication, and administrative practices across sites to ensure consistency and continuity of support to the Principal.
The Executive Assistant also contributes to the coordination and day-to-day oversight of administration support services, as delegated by the Principal.
Skills and Experiences:
EXPERIENCE/CRITERIA
- Ability to articulate a clear understanding of and a personal commitment to Catholic education and the mission of the Church through Catholic schools.
- Exceptional interpersonal capabilities and verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience using initiative and self-motivation in the workplace and leading a team.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy with proven ability to manage multiple tasks, projects and people, often under time pressure.
- Demonstrated ability in accurately and proficiently performing a wide range of administration tasks including use of Microsoft Office Programs and other relevant database programs.
- Demonstrated capacity to organise, prioritise and multitask to meet various deadlines.
- Ability to build and maintain collaborative working relationships with others.
- An understanding of and the ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously and be responsible and accountable for own work with the capacity and willingness to work in a team environment.
- Willingness to Comply or Compliance with the CSO Accreditation to Work, Teach and Lead Policy.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Current paid NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC) number
- Completion of anaphylaxis training
- Completion of First Aid training or willingness to complete
- Certificate IV Business Management or equivalent experience
Salary is in accordance with New South Wales & Australian Capital Territory Catholic Systemic Schools Enterprise Agreement 2025.
