Description
The Executive Director for Regional NPI will lead the New Product Introduction (NPI) team for the EMEA region, focusing on the implementation of our next generation software products with velocity and quality. This role involves guiding a team of customer-facing technical consultants who are engaged in multiple high-profile projects that are critical to our software strategy, driving business outcomes through the NCR Voyix Commerce Platform.
As the Executive Director, you will:
  • Lead and mentor the NPI team to ensure successful execution of projects.
  • Oversee and coordinate the team’s activities across various project phases, including technical consulting, cross-functional program management, deployments, and customer demonstrations.
  • Foster a collaborative environment that promotes innovation and excellence.
Your leadership will be pivotal in delivering high-quality solutions to NCR Voyix’s customers, ensuring that each project phase is executed seamlessly and effectively.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage other technical consultants driving successful execution of NPI projects.
  • Represent the NPI team status presenting to senior leaders, internally and externally.
  • Ensure team executes with velocity and quality to meet commitments for pilot launches for nextgen products.
  • Closely monitor customer satisfaction and provide guidance for any customer escalations.
  • Lead technical demonstrations of NCR’s NextGen products to customers and stakeholders.
  • Ensure team can successfully install, configure, and maintain Self-Checkout (SSCO), Point of Sale, and other retail solutions in customer labs and live stores.
  • Ensure team captures feedback from customer demos and share insights with Product and Engineering teams.
  • Manage a team who can maintain cloud-based lab environments for customer labs
  • Debug and resolve infrastructure and application-level issues in lab and customer environments.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to report issues, propose fixes, and optimize product stability.
  • Ensure out-of-the-box configurations are leveraged for efficient and scalable deployments.
  • Assist in customer onboarding by providing technical guidance on solution implementation.
Key Qualifications
Technical Skills & Experience:
  • 12+ years of experience in software deployments, technical consulting, system integration, or cloud infrastructure.
  • Undergraduate degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
  • Cloud knowledge in GCP, (Kubernetes, IAM, VPC, Load Balancers, helm charts).
  • Experience with Edge computing for deploying cloud native solutions to Edge devices.
  • Experience with networking fundamentals (DNS, VPNs, firewalls, TLS/SSL, load balancers).
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Splunk).
  • Experience working with microservices architecture, REST APIs, and event-driven systems.
Soft Skills & Competencies:
  • Excellent customer-facing communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong people and project management skills
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking
  • Ability to train customers, including senior leaders, on technical topics.
  • Effective collaboration with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Product, Sales, and Support).
  • Proactive mindset with a focus on automation, standardization, and operational efficiency.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in large-scale system deployments within retail, payments, or hospitality industries.
  • Certifications in AWS, GCP, Azure, Kubernetes, or DevOps-related technologies.
  • Experience with Agile and DevOps methodologies in software development and deployment.
