Overview
We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate and detail-oriented Expanded Function Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of dental terminology and procedures, ensuring that our patients receive the highest level of care. As an Expanded Function Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our dental team, managing patient interactions, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are ready.
• Assist the dentist during a variety of dental procedures.
• Maintain accurate medical records, documenting patient information and treatment plans.
• Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions.
• Manage appointment scheduling using Softdent Dental software
• Perform administrative tasks as needed, including filing insurance claims and handling dental coding.
• Support the dental team in maintaining an organized and efficient workflow.

Experience
Candidates should have prior experience or training in dental assisting, with knowledge of:

• Dental terminology and anatomy knowledge to effectively communicate with patients and staff.
• Infection control practices to ensure patient safety.
• Proficiency in using Softdent dental software is preferred but not mandatory
• Compensation is negotiable based on experience.
• Must have Expanded Function Dental Assistance license or certificate.

Pay: $29.00 - $31.00 per hour
