Job Overview
We are seeking an open-board Van Owner Operator to join our award-winning team. This role is essential for ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of B2B cargo while providing excellent customer service. As an Owner Operator, you will be responsible for managing your own vehicle and operations, delivering cargo to various locations in CAN & USA while maintaining high standards of professionalism.

Requirements:

• Clean Criminal Record.
• Clean Driver Abstract.
• Valid Canadian Passport.
• FAST Card or ready to apply.
• Must own a Cargo Van / Sprinter which can hold 3 Standard Skids (13ft Length)
• Effective interpersonal communication skills.
• Proven experience in commercial driving is an asset but not a requirement.
• The Owner of the Van MUST be the Operator.

Duties

• Safely operate a non-commercial Van while transporting goods to designated locations.
• No Touch pick-up or drop cargo.
• Communicate effectively with Thompson dispatchers, customers, and Customs Agents to ensure timely deliveries.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client needs and inquiries during the delivery process.
• Maintain accurate records; Custom Documents, Repairs, POD, and any incidents that may occur.
• Conduct regular inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe operating condition.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road.

Pay:

• Weekly Pay
• Weekend Bonus $50 Per Pickup
• Sign on Bonus ($1500; 30days $500, 90days $500, 180days $500)
• We pay the highest rates Loaded ($1.25/mile + FSC) and/or Empty ($0.40/mile).
• On average our Van Owner Operators earn over $2000.00/week, while our top drivers gross over $200,000/year.
• We Pay Tolls, Bridge and FAST Transponder. Excluding 407 ETR
• We offer a reduced insurance rate, deducted from your weekly settlement at 4% of gross revenue.
