Experienced Barperson – Members Golf Club
Location: Bray Golf Club, Co. Wicklow Ireland
Employment Type: Full-Time

About the Role
We are currently recruiting an experienced and personable Barperson to join our team here at Bray Golf Club. This is a unique opportunity to work in a relaxed yet professional environment, serving a loyal membership base and their guests as well as visitors.
The ideal candidate will take pride in delivering high-quality service, building rapport with members, and maintaining the welcoming and professional atmosphere expected in a private club setting.
Key Responsibilities
· Provide a warm, friendly, and professional service to club members and guests
· Prepare and serve a range of beverages, including draught beers, wines, spirits, and speciality coffees
· Maintain a clean, organised, and well-presented bar and lounge area
· Develop a good knowledge of regular members and their preferences
· Handle payments accurately using the club’s till/POS system
· Ensure responsible service of alcohol in line with Irish licensing laws
· Assist with stock control, ordering, and restocking
· Support club events, competitions, and social functions as required
· Carry out opening and closing procedures
Requirements
· Minimum 2–3 years’ bar experience, ideally in a club, hotel, or hospitality setting
· Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional manner
· Ability to build relationships with members and provide personalised service
· Good knowledge of beverages and bar operations
· Reliable, punctual, and well-presented
· Ability to work both independently and as part of a small team
· Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and during golf events
· Must be legally entitled to work in Ireland
Desirable Skills
· Experience working in a golf club or members’ club environment
· Table service and barista experience
· Knowledge of wine service and premium spirits
· Experience supporting private functions or events
· HACCP and Manual Handling certification
