If output is exceptional, and candidate is a top performer on output, wage will be adjusted based on performance

Dycar Pharmaceuticals Ltd. is a licensed producer of premium recreational and medical cannabis and we are looking to add an experienced Post-Harvest Associate to our amazing team in our production facility located in beautiful Cranbrook, BC. The role is primarily responsible for working as part of a team to support the day-to-day activities related to the processing of cannabis crops.

This is a full-time permanent opportunity, Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day.

Essential Functions may include and are not limited to:

1. Hand trimming and hand bucking cannabis plants. Must be able to hand trim 2.5+ lbs per day at high quality

2. Operating industry specific trimming machinery as requested

3. Bulk and consumer packaging of cannabis

4. Completing forms and records entry

5. Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all harvesting and processing activities to ensure regulatory compliancy, and to achieve consistent and high-quality products.

6. Regularly clean and sanitize equipment and production areas. Maintain a tidy workspace and display a high standard of cleanliness.

7. Other duties as assigned by the Manager, including Cultivation, Maintenance and Facility Sanitation activities.

Experience and Skills

· Experience with trimming cannabis is required in either regulated or unregulated commercial operations. Must be able to produce 2.5+ lbs per day hand trimming at a high quality standard

· Prior experience in a regulated manufacturing environment is considered an asset but not required

· Effective written and verbal English communication skills; ability to follow detailed operating procedures in accordance with Health Canada

· Must be 19 years of age or older

· The ability to pass a Criminal Record Check

Physical Requirements

· Ability to perform physical tasks required for an 8-hour shift period (8 -hour shifts are currently the standard, however in the future some shifts may be scheduled for 10-hours), including but not limited to: standing, walking, bending/reaching (repetitive), pushing/pulling, lifting (up to 15 kgs), and squatting

· Ability to work in environments with warm temperature and high humidity, and variable lighting (from very bright to dark)

· Ability to wear assigned Personal Protective Equipment including, but not limited to medical gloves, safety eyewear, face masks and hair/beard nets

· Ability to frequently work with cleaning products including, but not limited to, industrial cleaners and Isopropyl Alcohol

· This position will involve significant exposure to cannabis/plant materials and is therefore not likely suitable for anyone that may suffer from allergies to cannabis, or for anyone that experiences medical issues such as asthma or hay fever as a result of exposure to cannabis/plant materials. Not suitable for those with pain or tendinitis from performing repetitive motions

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.50-$23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
