Job Overview
Kenon Builders is seeking a skilled and reliable Experienced Carpenter to join our team. The role is ideal for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship, works well both independantly and with a team, and has experience across multiple aspects of residential and commerical construction.
Our carpenters are involved in a wide variety of projects. We're looking for someone who values safety, efficiency, and craftmanship while helping deliver high-quality builds for our clients.
Duties
- Read and interpret drawings, and specifications
- Construct and erect building framework; including foundation, wall and roof systems, exterior and interior finishes, and fixtures
- Consult and coordinate with suppliers, vendors and in-house trades to ensure project is completed efficiently and on schedule
- Manage day-to-day onsite operations and safety
- Direct and supervise carpentry and labor personnel to ensure compliance to project blueprints and applicable building code requirements
- Safely complete physically demanding tasks while working in all weather conditions
- Provide mentorship to entry-level team members with a focus on safety, accuracy and quality craftsmanship
Skills & Requirements
- 5+ years of carpentry experience
- Carpenter Journeyperson Trade Certification, considered an asset
- Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation
