Bourquin Printers & Signs is the largest sign and print shop in the Abbotsford area. We take great pride in our work, and help clients from the largest facilities in town, to small business owners. We're looking for someone to uphold our standard of excellence, and help us serve customers quickly and with a high service level.

The main function of the Press Operator will be the operation of the ABDICK 9870 1 color & ABDICK 9910XCS 2 color printing presses. As well as finishing work and binding work. The right candidate will have experience operating presses, finishing machines, and have a high level of attention to detail and organization.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain the presses to produce high-quality printing.
• Set up and calibrate the printing press.
• Troubleshoot and resolve printing issues.
• Maintenance and cleaning of the press.
• Ensure high quality standards are met and adjust as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of job progress and production metrics, including historical job information/specs.
• Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth production flow.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Reviews & understand scope/parameters of print jobs.
• Operating various types of equipment including offset and general bindery.
• Maintains inventory of supplies needed to operate printing machines.

Requirements:

• Completed press Operator certification.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience operating ABDICK presses.
• Technical knowledge and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
• Able to work in a fast-paced production environment with tight deadlines.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
