Experiential History Teacher

Yellow Breeches Educational Center (YBEC) is an innovative, K-12 special education school that combines traditional academics with experiential and adventure education. Our small class sizes of 6:1 in secondary allow for personalized, hands-on instruction that meets each student’s unique needs in an engaging and supportive environment.

Our history curriculum rotates through Civics, World History and American History.

A Bachelor's Degree is required to obtain teacher certification. YBEC offers a competitive salary and benefits program. Currently interviewing for various age groups at multiple locations.

Successful individual will :

* Plan and implement differentiated lesson plans in a care subject area to 6 students per class

* Work collaboratively with all teachers to develop cross-curricular activities and lessons.

* Plan and lead weekly experiential activities (local field trips, museums, opportunities to explore careers, college tours, and transition related activities)

* Assist Adventure Teacher in planning weekly adventure trips (mountain biking, rock climbing, kayaking, canoeing, SUPing, hiking, and other Experiential / Adventure based activities)

* Assist in planning and attend a week-long adventure and experiential camping trips for the program, twice a year

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $62,000.00 per year
