Stakelums Expert Electrical is part of Ireland’s largest independent electrical retail group, known for quality brands, expert advice, and dependable aftersales support. We are now looking to recruit a Full-Time Sales Assistant to join our Expert Electrical team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, takes pride in delivering great service, and wants to build a career in retail sales within a well-established local business.

Our sales team plays a key role in creating a positive, professional shopping experience by understanding customer needs and recommending the right products with confidence and care.

What You'll Do

• Engage with customers in a friendly, knowledgeable, and professional manner
• Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable electrical products and solutions
• Drive sales while maintaining strong product margins and add-on opportunities
• Build rapport and long-term customer loyalty through excellent service
• Keep up to date with product features, promotions, and new ranges
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure high standards across the department

• Communicates clearly and confidently, with strong listening skills
• Has a positive and resilient attitude, even during busy trading periods

• Is genuinely customer-focused, always aiming to exceed expectations

Skills & Experience

• Leaving Certificate or equivalent (preferred)
• 1–3 years’ experience in a customer-facing role (retail, hospitality, tourism, or similar)
• A proactive, energetic approach with the ability to work independently
• An interest in sales and a willingness to learn and develop product knowledge
• Previous experience with electrical appliances, technology, or home products is an advantage, but not essential – full training will be provided
