Introduction:
St Francis Xavier's College, Hamilton is calling for expressions of interest for a Temporary Full-Time Wellbeing Support Coordinator - Programs & Community
Duration of the higher duties is from 25 August to 26 September 2025.
This role will attract a 0.2FTE release and a 2 point coordinator allowance of $749.94 per fortnight.
Description:
POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Wellbeing Support Coordinator plays a pivotal role in fostering an inclusive school culture by leading and supporting initiatives that enhance the social, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing of students. This position supports the College’s commitment to student engagement, personal growth, and community connection by working collaboratively with staff, students, families, and external stakeholders. As a member of the College Wellbeing Team, the Wellbeing Support Coordinator contributes to the development and implementation of evidence-based strategies and programs that promote positive relationships, and a culture of care and respect across the school community.
Skills and Experiences:
EXPERIENCE/CRITERIA
- Ability to articulate a clear understanding of and a personal commitment to Catholic education and the mission of the Church through Catholic schools.
- Ability and eagerness to meet the responsibilities associated with a middle management role in a secondary school.
- Comprehensive knowledge and a strong commitment to developing, leading, and assessing impactful pastoral care initiatives.
- Demonstrated proficiency in communication and collaboration with staff, students, and families.
- Exemplary skills and experience as a classroom teacher.
- Advanced organisational skills, including meticulous record-keeping and management.
- Strong technological skills, utilising digital tools for effective organization and coordination.
- A high degree of initiative, self-motivation, and the ability to work independently.
- Proven ability to contribute positively and work collaboratively within a team setting.
- Qualifications as a four-year trained teacher
- Active NESA Accreditation
- Current paid NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC) number
- Completion of anaphylaxis training
