Eyfs Teaching Assistant

Position: EYFS Teaching Assistant
Key Stage: Reception
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Full-Time
Location: Blackpool

Pay Rates: £12.82 - £14.50 per hour, depending on experience

Humly is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming Reception team at a primary school in Blackpool. This full-time role provides an excellent opportunity to support young learners at a critical stage in their development, helping to foster a nurturing and engaging environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on support to Reception pupils during Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) activities, ensuring their engagement and success.
  • Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering creative and age-appropriate activities aligned with the EYFS framework.
  • Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes exploration and learning.
  • Support children in developing key skills, including communication, literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional growth.
  • Monitor and document student progress, contributing to assessments and sharing insights with parents and carers.
  • Offer one-to-one or small-group support to pupils who may need additional guidance.
  • Collaborate with school staff to deliver a cohesive and enriching educational experience.

Qualifications and Skills

  • A relevant Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning, Early Years Education, or a similar field.
  • Proven experience working with young children, ideally within an EYFS or early primary setting.
  • A nurturing, patient, and proactive approach to supporting children’s development.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
  • An understanding of the EYFS framework and a commitment to delivering high-quality education.
  • Flexibility and organisational skills to adapt to a dynamic classroom environment.
