We are currently recruiting for an F-Gas AC Technician to join our Maintenance Division. This full-time permanent position will cover the Leinster region with a particular focus on the Dublin and surrounding areas. They will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing air-conditioning and refrigeration systems containing fluorinated greenhouse gases (F-Gases). The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with HVAC systems, strong technical knowledge of refrigeration cycles and a valid F-Gas qualification in accordance with EU Regulation (EC) No. 517/2014.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Commission and service air-conditioning and refrigeration systems, including split units, VRF/VRV systems and commercial chillers
- Conduct leak checks in compliance with F-Gas regulations and maintain accurate logs
- Troubleshoot and diagnose system faults and perform repairs
- Recover, handle and charge refrigerants safely using approved procedures
- Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure system efficiency and reliability
- Maintain accurate site records including maintenance checklists, inspection reports and test results and F-Gas registers
- Advise customers on energy-efficient system use, upgrades and compliance requirements
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure all work complies with health & safety standards and environmental legislation
- Follow all site safety procedures and risk assessments in compliance with company health and safety policies
- Sustainability Initiatives: Identify opportunities to improve energy efficiency, reduce waste and implement sustainable practices
- Be flexible in your approach to allow for and adapt to the evolving needs of the site, client and company
- Promote and uphold our core values of Care, Integrity and Excellence when engaging with clients
- Be open to engaging in Continuous Professional Development (CPD) as necessary to meet the evolving needs of the role
- Always behave in a manner fitting to the business ethos and maintain the Company's standards
- Act as a brand ambassador as you represent the Company through its ongoing expansion
- Any other duties as deemed necessary for the efficiency of the business
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
- Valid Category I or II F-Gas Certification (or equivalent recognised qualification)
- Minimum of 5 years' experience working in a similar role
- Knowledge of HVAC systems essential
- Additional HVAC/R manufacturer training (Daikin, Mitsubishi, Panasonic, etc.) an advantage
- Preferably has knowledge of low-GWP refrigerants and evolving environmental regulations.
- City & Guilds 2079 or equivalent technical qualifications.
- Must possess a valid Safe Pass and Manual Handling certificate
- Full clean Drivers Licenses as travel to alternative sites will be required
- Excellent people skills while delivering exceptional customer service
- Proven health & safety awareness with a thorough understanding of quality systems
