The Group’s Agribusiness Division (Lakeland Agri) operates a state-of-the-art Animal Feed Manufacturing Facility and is a leading and innovative provider of the highest quality feeds and agricultural inputs to dairy, beef, and sheep farmers across the north and south of Ireland.

We are now seeking applications for the position of Electrical Technician – Maintenance based on the Killeshandra site. Reporting to the Maintenance Co-ordinator, Killeshandra, the successful candidate will work as part of the maintenance team to ensure that all the equipment on the Killeshandra site is maintained to the highest standard providing maximum efficiency to meet operational demands.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out engineering work in a safe manner, adhering to site procedures
• Focussing on critical plant and address root cause of repetitive failures
• Developing a diversity of skills and knowledge of all plant
• Providing changeover/breakdown support for the production floor
• Working as part of the maintenance on-call system, including weekends
• Communicating effectively with the team
• Arranging and utilising machine outages to complete preventative and corrective/improvement maintenance
• Undertaking areas of specialism or expertise as directed by the Maintenance Co-ordinator.

The Person

The successful candidate must be pro-active and be a strong team player with good problem-solving skills. The individual will also be systematic, logical and be able to prioritise work to make effective decisions. The successful candidate will be required to do shift work, cover callouts and weekend cover.

Experience and Education: An electrical qualification is required and relevant experience within a manufacturing operation would be an advantage.
