RebelXM Fabrication Technician

  • Location: on-site, Mississauga shop
  • Reports to: Shop Foreman
  • Employment type: full-time, hourly

Defy the Expected. Build the Best.

RebelXM isn’t your average shop and we’re not looking for an average Fabrication Technician. We need a hands-on maker who can move seamlessly from cutting lumber to wiring LEDs to troubleshooting digital media. If you thrive on working with high-profile brands, custom builds, and tight turnarounds, you’ve come to the right place.

What You’ll Own

  • Craft + Build: Assemble, install, repair, laminate and finish custom exhibit fixtures with precision. Read blueprints, shop drawings, and plans, and bring them to life.
  • Light + Wire: Handle light electrical wiring, install lighting, and set up AV components (LED displays, TVs, projectors, sound systems, media players).
  • Install + Support: Troubleshoot onsite builds and installs, collaborating with millworkers, installers, and detailers to get every element right.
  • Safety + Standards: Follow ESA code, safety regulations, and best practices in power, grounding, and lighting effects.
  • Housekeeping + Hustle: Keep your workspace clean and organized. Show up ready to roll. Tight deadlines mean we hit the ground running.

What You Bring

  • 2+ years of millwork experience.
  • 2+ years of lighting and electrical installation, or an electronic/technical certificate.
  • Solid knowledge of the ESA Code and safety practices.
  • Comfort with woodworking machinery, power tools, and lifting heavy materials.
  • Detailed-oriented, deadline-driven, proactive, organized, and a strong communicator.
  • Reliable transportation to our Mississauga workshop (east side of the airport); occasional onsite travel required.
  • Bonus: experience in exhibits, events, or experiential builds.

Why RebelXM

  • Work where creativity meets engineering and big ideas become unforgettable experiences.
  • Join a fearless, collaborative crew that loves to deliver show-stopping experiences and have fun doing it.
  • You’ll have autonomy to push boundaries. Your voice and decisions matter.
  • Competitive salary and the opportunity to see your work live, in full-scale events, installations, and displays that people remember.

Ready to defy expectations? Send us your story and show us how you create client partnerships that turn ideas into extraordinary experiences.
