This is a great opportunity to join our Façade drafting team …

We are seeking a passionate façade engineer or drafter to competently plan and conduct façade engineering projects of reasonable complexity under the guidance of senior staff. If you get excited and have experience in translating architectural concepts into detailed technical drawings that can be used for fabrication, construction, and installation then this will be a role for you.

You will also:

• Be responsible for the management and preparation of façade documentation.
• Produce drafting on large and medium projects autonomously
• Manage and execute the designs of façade systems and details
• The ability to execute and manage drawings/ document control using various related platforms such as Aconex for example.
• Use of AutoCAD and other relevant software
• Coordinate and liaise with drafters, designers and engineers
• Liaise with clients and architects on the preparation and coordination of documentation
• Competently convey façade designs into drawing format which can be interpreted by architects and builders.

What do we look for in our structural drafters?

• Relevant TAFE qualification or equivalent
• 2+ years’ relevant experience in a similar role in consulting or contractor business.
• Strong understanding and working knowledge of AutoCAD and similar software
• Experience with BIM and/or Revit will be an advantage.
• Understanding of BCA and relevant Australian Standards
• Professional level of written and verbal communication skills.
• Problem solving/analytical skills
