Job Overview

The Facilities and Grounds Associate is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and functionality of the organization's buildings and outdoor areas. This role supports daily operations by performing routine maintenance, landscaping, and custodial tasks to ensure a welcoming and well-kept environment for staff, visitors, clients, and customers. It will require traveling from our main campus to our thrift stores, as needed.

Responsibilities and Duties

1. Facilities Maintenance:

· Perform routine inspections of buildings and grounds to identify maintenance needs.

· Assist with minor repairs (e.g., plumbing, electrical, carpentry).

· Monitor and maintain HVAC systems, lighting, and other facility equipment.

· Set up and break down furniture and equipment for meetings and events.

2. Groundskeeping:

· Monitor lawns, trim hedges, and maintain flower beds and trees.

· Remove debris, snow, and ice from walkways and parking areas.

· Ensure outdoor areas are clean, safe, and visually appealing.

3. Custodial Duties:

· Monitor cleanliness of common areas and all buildings

· Ensure restrooms are functional and clean.

· Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.

4. Safety & Compliance:

· Follow safety protocols and report hazards or incidents promptly.

· Ensure compliance with local regulations and company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience in facilities maintenance and ground maintenance preferred.
• Basic knowledge of hand and power tools.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year
