Position Summary

Sentry Commercial Property Management is seeking a highly organized, proactive, and service-oriented Facilities & Maintenance Personnel to support the day-to-day operations of multiple commercial properties. This position is responsible for coordinating maintenance activities, performing routine building repairs, managing vendor relationships, responding to tenant service requests, conducting property inspections, and supporting general facility operations.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, technology-focused, and embraces the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools to improve efficiency, communication, documentation, and operational workflows. This individual will represent Sentry Commercial's commitment to exceptional service while ensuring both properties are maintained to a high standard.

Property Operations & Maintenance Responsibilities

· Conduct routine property inspections and identify maintenance needs.

· Monitor building systems and coordinate preventative maintenance activities.

· Manage and track tenant work orders from initiation through completion.

· Coordinate and oversee third-party vendors and contractors.

· Ensure common areas, grounds, and building assets are maintained in a professional manner.

· Respond to property emergencies and urgent maintenance requests when necessary.

Hands-On Maintenance Duties

This position is expected to perform routine maintenance and repair work as needed, including:

· Repairing and replacing ceiling tiles, floor tiles, and other building finishes.

· Patching, repairing, and painting drywall and interior surfaces.

· Replacing light bulbs, ballasts, switches, outlets, lighting fixtures, and related components.

· Performing basic plumbing repairs, including faucets, sinks, toilets, drain issues, and minor leak repairs.

· Performing basic electrical repairs and troubleshooting within safe and appropriate limits.

· Performing light mechanical repairs and adjustments to building equipment.

· Repairing, adjusting, and installing doors, locks, closers, hinges, and hardware.

· Installing building signage, tenant signage, wall-mounted fixtures, shelving, and office accessories.

· Completing minor carpentry repairs and miscellaneous facility improvements.

· Maintaining maintenance supplies, tools, and inventory.

· Identifying maintenance issues proactively and resolving them before they become larger problems.

· Coordinating with licensed contractors when repairs exceed the scope of in-house maintenance capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications

· 2+ years of facilities, maintenance, building operations, or property management experience.

· Strong knowledge of basic building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general construction.

· Ability to work independently with limited supervision.

· Excellent customer service and communication skills.

· Proficiency using Microsoft Office 365 applications.

· Experience with building work order systems and mobile maintenance applications.

· Familiarity with AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot is strongly preferred.

· Reliable transportation to travel between assigned properties.

Pay: $30.00 - $32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
