Avenue also brings expertise in building ultra-high-cavitation tooling for medical devices, diagnostics, and pharmaceutical markets.

The Maintenance Operative will provide a comprehensive general maintenance service across three manufacturing sites, ensuring that buildings, facilities, grounds, and non-production equipment are maintained to a high standard. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient working environment by carrying out planned and reactive maintenance tasks while supporting the Facilities team and wider business.

Skills and Experience

• Previous experience in a maintenance, handyman, facilities, or property maintenance role, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong practical skills across a range of disciplines including carpentry, painting, basic plumbing, basic electrical repairs, and general building maintenance.
• Experience working within a medical device, pharmaceutical, cleanroom, or regulated manufacturing environment is desirable but not essential.
• Ability to identify maintenance issues and carry out repairs efficiently with minimal supervision.
• Good knowledge of Health & Safety practices and safe working procedures.
• Ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple tasks across different sites.
• Full clean driving licence with the flexibility to travel between company locations as required.
• Strong organisational and time management skills with a proactive, can-do attitude.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
• Self-motivated, reliable, and capable of working independently while maintaining high standards of workmanship and professionalism.
