This role will be responsible for overseeing the strategic expansion of MBRYONICS facilities, and the upgrading, maintenance, and operation of the plant’s equipment, buildings, laboratories, and grounds across multiple sites while ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and standards and attainment of our sustainability goals in areas such as reducing waste, emissions and energy consumption.
A successful candidate will have strong communication and organizational skills, engaging across multidisciplinary functions, and with internal and external stakeholders. This will involve a keen understanding across multiple areas of the business, in particular production, manufacturing, and laboratory operations, as well as functional leadership in finance and business operations.
The role will span the management of processes involved across different operations projects. The role requires an open and flexible mindset to support change management, problem-solving and creating an environment for continuous improvement and a key focus on safety, sustainability, and employee engagement.
Responsibilities:
Facilities and Equipment optimisation
Leadership and collaboration in the development and execution of footprint expansion considerations including input on building layout to ensure optimal operation of plant equipment, and service, in compliance with all environmental and safety standards.
Planning and coordinating all installations and refurbishments of plant equipment, buildings, and utilities.
Optimise equipment and operations uptime, by developing preventive maintenance schedules and repair activities for facilities and support equipment such as chillers and compressors.
Optimise the use of space and equipment while reducing operating costs, and allocate office industrial and lab space according to needs for business processes.
Facilities Management
Scoping and managing budget requirements for optimising all operations sites and ensuring all necessary risks and opportunities are communicated to overall business operations effectively and optimising strategic investment returns.
Reviewing Equipment, Contractor, and Service provider agreements are in line with expectations and requirements for compliance and standards are adhered to, and agreeing service level agreements (SLAs) and scorecards.
Plan and coordinate all installations (telecommunications, heat, electricity, etc.) and refurbishments manage utility productivity, and build a roadmap towards sustainability goals, and manage associated activities.
Keep financial and non-financial records, perform analysis and forecasting as required to standard operating procedures. Oversee and manage CAPEX projects for building upgrades, installations, refurbishments, and new facility equipment.
Handle insurance plans and service contracts and ensure appropriate coverage and contract compliance.
Supervise all staff facilities staff (security and site access, custodians, technicians, groundskeepers, waste management, etc.) and respective external contractors. Supervise and train facilities engineering personnel.
Regulation Compliance and Health and Safety
Accountable for Health and Safety Policy management, governance, and compliance; including continuous assessment, risk assessments, implementing mitigations and controls, and overseeing training and engagement to ensure health safety protocol compliance is core to culture and integral to the work environment for all stakeholders.
Managing the upkeep of equipment and supplies to meet health and safety standards and driving a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
Inspecting buildings’ structures to determine the need for repairs or renovations and managing all site and risk assessments to coordinate with any contracted providers.
Oversee all building-related activities. You will be responsible for preserving the good condition of infrastructure and ensuring that facilities are safe and well-functioning.
Drive Sustainability and ISO-related activities to ensure and futureproof compliance and standards regulation such as environmental regulations in air quality, waste, clean water, and pollution.
Monitor and comply with regulatory requirements, such as safety standards, environmental regulations, and facilities obligations to commit to the safety of employees, and on-site contractors, visitors, and customers.
Digital Manufacturing
Support optimisation of Digital twin software to test simulations and drive OPEX across Equipment and understand downtime scenarios and uptime optimisations.
Stay informed about industry trends, process, and equipment advancements and support the Operations teams with Equipment IOT, Digital Transformation, and Smart Manufacturing.

Required Skills:
Demonstrated experience in oversight of Facilities programme delivery for large-scale investment and complex manufacturing and cleanroom operations, with the management of extended contractors and team.
Well-versed in technical operations and facilities management best practices.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong focus on attention to detail.
Knowledge of accounting and finance principles.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to establish favorable terms and conditions with suppliers.
Excellent leadership, organisational, and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to facilities management and workplace safety.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Continuous improvement mindset, with a focus on identifying and implementing process enhancements to drive efficiency cost savings, and sustainability opportunities.
Required Qualifications:
BSc/BA in facility management, engineering, business administration or relevant field
Relevant professional qualifications (The International Facility Management Association (IFMA), Certified Facility Manager (CFM)) will be an advantage
Proven experience in facilities management or a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing and clean room environment.
Experience in Digital Transformation, Manufacturing 4.0 and IOT and Digital Manufacturing
Proven Project Management capability and understanding of business impacts.
Experience in programme Management in Environment, Health, and Safety
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and practices is desirable.
