Position Summary:
The Facilities Support Worker plays an important role in ensuring our residential and commercial properties are safe, clean, and well-maintained. This hands-on position involves a variety of physical tasks, including cleaning, grounds upkeep, parking garage upkeep, and light maintenance. The ideal candidate is dependable, takes pride in their work, and contributes to a welcoming and well-functioning environment for residents, tenants, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Garbage & Recycling Room Maintenance:
- Keep garbage and recycling rooms clean, tidy, and in compliance with municipal guidelines.
- Remove debris and report any concerns such as pest activity or illegal dumping.
- Groundskeeping:
- Perform routine outdoor maintenance including sweeping, litter pickup, weeding, and seasonal landscaping support.
- Maintain curb appeal and cleanliness of entrances, walkways, and outdoor common areas.
- Winter Maintenance:
- Salt and shovel walkways, entrances, and other high-traffic areas during winter months to ensure safe access.
- Monitor weather conditions and proactively address snow and ice buildup.
- Parking Garage Maintenance:
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of underground and surface parking areas.
- Sweep, remove debris, and report hazards, damage, or unauthorized use.
- Amenity & Common Area Oversight:
- Regularly check and tidy up amenity spaces such as gyms, lounges, and party rooms.
- Replenish supplies and report any issues or damage.
- Maintenance Support:
- Assist the maintenance team with general tasks such as minor repairs, equipment moves, deliveries, or inspections.
- Respond to service requests or urgent tasks as directed.
- Health & Safety:
- Follow all safety procedures and company protocols.
- Identify and report hazards, property damage, or maintenance needs to the supervisor.
- Other Duties as Assigned:
- Perform additional tasks to support the site team and property operations as required.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in property maintenance, landscaping, or general labor an asset
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Physically fit and able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform outdoor tasks in varying weather conditions
- Basic understanding of safety practices and procedures
- Dependable, punctual, and proactive
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Valid driver’s license may be required depending on site location

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
