Position Summary:

The Facilities Technician will be responsible for troubleshooting maintenance issues and completing maintenance tasks and assisting with general tasks around the clubhouse and around the community.

Essential Functions:

  • Perform minor repairs on clubhouse (e.g., changing lightbulbs, replacing broken fixtures, water fountain filters, etc.).
  • Check and inspect community amenities including the pool.
  • Troubleshoot for plumbing, HVAC, and fitness equipment.
  • Schedule and monitor vendors for repairs.
  • Communicate with Community Manager on all maintenance issues.
  • Keep inventory of facility supplies and facility equipment.
  • Janitorial and cleaning work throughout the clubhouse.

Non-essential Functions:

Additional duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

· General knowledge of hand tools, power equipment (e.g., pressure washer).

· Basic handyman skills.

· Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.

· Ability to climb a ladder up to 20 feet.

· Ability to set up for events on weekends/evenings which may require after hours or weekend work.

· Computer skills (internet searches, email, etc.) are not essential but preferred.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent.

At least two years related experience required.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift to 75 pounds at time.

Ability to work outdoors in heat and cold with potentially inclement weather.

Extended period of standing.

Normal periods of sitting and standing.

Ability to climb and stand on a ladder and work at heights of us to 20 feet.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $37,000.00 per year

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekends as needed

Experience:

  • Property maintenance: 2 years (Preferred)
  • Power tools: 1 year (Preferred)

  • Wake Forest, NC 27587 (Required)
